3 inch downpipe for crd

Hi. I have stock exhaust but no cat no muffler and stage 1 software. What do you think of going 3" downpipe instead of oem 2.5". Has anyone done that with measurable results?

I doubt it will make much difference without other modifications, the 2" restriction at the muffler is supposed to be worth removing but you have already done that, did you notice much difference when you removed it?
The ECU is setup to control boost and cap maximum power to prevent it from eating the torque converter, if you are going to chip it for more power you will need a heavy duty diesel one.
