2002 constant misfire (COP?)

The old 2002 huntcamp Liberty is misbehaving and I'm hoping it's just a COP. I changed the plugs about a year ago. She runs but is really chugging and not drive able. I've had COPs fail intermittently in a few vehicles but never like this. What does it sound and feel like when a COP is completely dead?

Not sure what exactly a "COP" is that you are referring to, and because of that your last sentence is disturbing to me.

Plus what plugs did you use
what codes are coming up
You can pull codes by turning the ignition switch on ( but not to run/start ) 3 times and codes will appear
Let us know what a dead COP is

Sorry, I thought COP stood for Coil-on-Plug or Coil-over-Plug. I know some refer to them as Coil Packs. Can't remember what plugs I used but I wanna say NGK.

Thanks, never heard them called COPs but only been around KJs etc for 16 years so still learning ;)
But still need to pull codes, if it is a coil pack then you can move around whichever cylinder it is and see if it follows

See if you can get a code reader on it and see which cylinder(s) is misfiring. Once you know that, you can try moving the ignition coil to a different cylinder to see if the error follows. If it does, you know the coil is dead.

Thanks, I was hoping someone could tell me how their KJ ran with a completely dead coil pack. Gotta get me a code reader since this KJ stays up at the hunting cabin. Other option is to buy a pack and just move it around which is pretty easy to do on a Liberty. Weird thing is that I just fired her up for a while and the check engine light isn't on.

If your jeep is sitting at a hunting camp I would also look for mice intrusion,Had mine fill up the air cleaner box and also chewing up wires .

Thanks T, I didn't know this was possible. Decided to do it the easy expensive way so it's sitting in the mechanics parking lot right now:)

Cylinder #2 has zero compression and is all rusty. Probably had a head gasket leak for a long time. She's pretty rusty and probably not worth repairing at this point. Gonna send her to the graveyard:(
