2002 liberty difficulty getting into and out of 4 wheel drive ?

2002 liberty difficult to get 4 wheel drive fully engaged and difficult to get out of 4 wheel?

Maybe the shift cable is seizing up? Check the bushing/grommet on the end of the cable?

Shift fork pads (nylon) inside the tcase can wear out too. Cheap parts, but a lot of work to renew.
