Wondering if anyone can offer any insight to my issue. So the driver side window in my 03 Limited goes down about 25% then when I try going any further there is a grinding noise and it does not move any further and seems the motor just spins until I roll it up again, when I roll it up the motor seems to spin back in gear and rolls back up. If I just go down 25% the window goes up/down just fine with no issue. I have done some reading & see that replacement window regulators and motors are about $120 for OEM, I would prefer to just replace the part that is bad.

This started yesterday. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Not the mountains.
Sounds like the bracket piece might be on it's way out. I'd try replacing it with the metal one before replacing the motor.

^^Ditto on removing the panel to see what's going on before ordering parts. You don't won't to order stuff you don't need.

Thank you all for your input! I also noted this issue in this post: http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f196/2003-jeep-liberty-concerns-63331/index9.html

I am going through a ongoing nightmare with a dealership and noticed the issue as soon as I picked up my Jeep this past Friday, I am sure one of their techs noticed the problem but never thought to pass it along to me that the window jams now. I am going to look into the 1aa auto window & regulator once I take the door off & diagnose the full extent of the problem.

This is the same thing right but it comes with driver & passenger?

I am thinking if the entire assembly is needed I would just pay the extra $15 or so & get the passenger as well incase something happens down the line. Thanks!

Probably the same. From what I've seen as far as pricing, parts availability, etc., I think they may be the same company, or have the same "Parent" company.

Thank you! I will be taking the door off tomorrow & if needed ordering the window regulator & motor: https://www.am-autoparts.com/products/window-regulator/AM-32229201.html?m=876&y=2003

Also I have 85k miles on my Jeep & the suspension is making a clunking noise near the front right tire when making right turns & a dealership has pin pointed it as the suspension so I will be ordering this kit once I get some more insight in the thread I referenced above: https://www.am-autoparts.com/products/shocks-and-struts/AM-1700616705.html?m=876&y=2003

Thanks for the help & I will keep you updated!

Thank you all again for your advice. I ended up taking my Jeep to a transmission expert today & apparently the noise is nothing to worry about. He informed me that he hears the slight grinding noise in the shifter area but it is not worth spending $108/hour to try pin pointing the source of the noise since it actually is not causing any problems with my Jeep such as shifting or anything else right now. I was advised to wait & see if it gets any worst or causes actual dravability issues then pursue it further so I think I will take that advice. Surprisingly after the service center had it 2 days ago for the entire day & replaced the o2 sensor the loud squeaking coming from under the Jeep where the transmission is has vanished, there is only a slight grinding noise now coming from the shifter when going from park to drive to accelerating to about 10 MPH then the noise vanished when gaining speed. It makes me wonder if they did anything else besides the o2 sensor & just did not tell me to correct the louder issue but I will just leave well enough alone right now & replace the window motors for now & the shocks when I allocate the funds for OME shocks/struts & springs. Hossier, would you mind linking me to a nice setup that would be around the $400-$800 range for my 2003 Jeep Liberty Limited 4x4? I would not mind gaining a few inches in the process!
