2003 Jeep Liberty Speaker replacement

Hey guys, I just recently got my first Jeep Liberty, Limited Edition. I did search this forum and really couldn't find the answer to my question so here it goes.

My front door speakers are blown when I turn the bass up, so I bought some aftermarket speakers today and attempted to put them in. The stock speakers were infinity, but a couple things I am having a problem with. First off, I noticed that the aftermarket speakers that I bought don't actually reach the points where you screw in. My question is, what would be the best way to screw it in or is there an adapter for it?

And my second problem, is when I hooked up my aftermarket speakers to the device that was mounted to the inifinity speakers, I noticed there wasn't any screw on points for that as well. So when I put it back into the door panel, it moved all over the place and didn't stay stable.

I'm trying to be as clear as possible, and if anyone can help me out it would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I, too, have aftermarket speakers to go with my Infinity amps. When reinstalling everything, I ended up using heavy duty 3M double-sided tape to mount the amp to the inside of the door. They've been mounted that way for well over a year now, and are still hanging on.

Ok, I was thinking about using a zip tie, or gorilla gluing the pieces together. But I'll give that a try, I appreciate it man.

I have aftermarket speakers front and back. I didnt re-use the Infinity mini amps in the front but as far as screwing in the new speakers to the door cutout I just got a decent sized washer and drove the screws a little crooked into the existing holes. The washers will grip the speaker and hold it in place once you get the screws in, just make sure you dont use ones that will make any contact with the speaker.
