your rite the daystar doesn't call for that size, it's the size I have. woops.. when the most retable company in swfl did my lift , that's been in business for 30 yrs , we order the day star, I knew that suspension was tired, so got new front and rear coils, struts, and longer rear shocks. when he pulled my vin# it called for 1.5 inch longer then stock ...he's lifted around 30 libertys ,some have this package some don't. but mine and others out there has this and that is a fact.:grd:
Any KJ built before April 12th 2002 are "pre-lowered",meaning they sat 3/4" higher then KJ's built after April 12th 2002.The higher coils where purged from the supply system so if you bought OE coils regardless of VIN you got the shorter coils. The only way to get "taller" coils is to buy aftermarket lift coils or have custom coils made.Even the OEM CRD coils, which will give a gasser lift on it own,are the shorter coils but the spring rate is far higher then the gassers(300-310lbs for the 3.7 V6 compared to 410lbs for the CRD).There was zero OEM coils that were 1.5" taller then then others installed on KJ's,that is fact.
The daystar spacer lift "pre-loads" the coils some making for a worse ride then stock, more so if using the worn out shocks and coils.
Now for the gears...............
3.55 gears---any KJ built with the 6 speed manual trans only
3.73 gears---All 3.7 V6 KJ's with auto trans(42RLE and 45RFE) and any 5 speed manual 3.7 V6 KJ's.Also all auto trans CRD's(545RFE).
4.10 gears---Any 2.4 gasser KJ(built till '05) and any export 2.5 CRD.
No option to have a different gear ratio added, you got what is listed above from the factory. If you truly have 4.10's someone installed them in place of the 3.73's.
