2005 Liberty Sport driver window squeal

The driver side window on my 05 liberty squeals. It happens every time the window goes down because the glass pulls the rubber wiper down into the door and the rubber squeals loudly against the glass as it goes down. Has anyone heard of this or know if there is an easy fix for it?

There is some felt material between the horizontal rubber piece and the glass.
Possibly most or all the felt on yours is gone.

I am somewhat handy. Is that fairly easy to replace?

I've done the inside one which just pops out of the door trim.

I'm not sure about the outside one but I'd imagine it can be popped out too.

Could try some silicone lube on the outside seal if that's the cause.

thanks. I'm just going to replace it since, what the other guy said about the fuzzy stuff. it's pretty worn.

Btw, the part I ordered, I didn't see any mention of inner or outer. It's called a belt weatherstrip. Does that sound right?

yeah. weather belt or weather seal.
it'll be inner or outer or a pair.

So they sent me the outer strip. I need the inner strip. Do you know where I can get one? Everyone says its not available.
