2008 jeep liberty oil change light on

my oil change light came on my liberty before oil change is due is this normal?

The oil change light is duty based. My first 2 KK's came on by 2500 miles.
After that, they come on almost too late for my taste. 3500-4500 miles.

I changed my oil in my KJ Yesterday, and the oil that was in it was VERY bad! So, yours comes on to late? In my VIBE manual, it says to change the oil very 7000 miles, that seems high...

I use all Synthetic, so I go twice the miles as DINO oil...
