I have above Lib and have a P0455 code large EVAP leak. It has 101,000 miles so first it popped a "GASCAP" on the dash so I bought a new cap from the dealer. Cleared the code and was fine for a month or two. Then it popped the P0455 so I took it to a shop and asked them to smoke test and advise. Was told it was a "fuel leak detection pump". So I ordered one from Auto Zone and replaced it. Cleared the code and started it and with in a few seconds the code came back. So I removed the part and added a lite coat of grease to the o-ring and reinstalled. Cleared code and it didn't come back for a few days. Now I also can smell raw gas at the left rear were the charcoal canister is. At two hundred plus I'm not wanting to buy one just to replace it. Any ideas what it could be? Is there a EVAC line that goes to fuel tank and yes I have checked the lines under the hood and the "purge canister solenoid" and all are good.

time for a smoke test, watch some Youtube videos to understand it. I bought a smoke generator to check my system - no leaks found.

I don't think the leak detection pump was broken because it was doing its job.
There is a leak somewhere that is compromising the airtightness.
The hose that routes the ORVR, including the EVAP, may be cracked or disconnected.
The hose leading to the canister would be the most likely suspect.
Since you probably checked the hose that connects the canister to the LDP when replacing the LDP, it means that the hose that connects to the check valve is suspicious.
Or maybe the canister is cracked.
Or maybe the check valve is broken.

I took it to a shop to have them do a smoke test to find the issue and was told it was the LDP. I broke the clip on the lower hope so I'm ordering it and going to have Auto Zone reorder the LDP just incase.
