2011 Liberty Sport question (will these tires fit?)

So far my jeep isn't lifted (yet) but I need some tires. I remember my old truck had great traction on/off road with BFG All-Terrain tires, and I see that there is a model of All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires in my size (225/75/R16). Will these fit without rubbing inside the wheel well?

If so, can anyone suggest for a good fit that's good on/off road? I just moved across the country and want to explore this spring.

I was using 245/70r16 general grabber at2's on my jeep and they fit when stock without an issue.

I run 235-70-r16 grabber at2 stock and lifted no issues great tire in my opinion.

Thanks, maybe I should have tried Grabber. I ended up ordering the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A in 245/70R16 once I was assured I'd be able to return them if there was any issue. They look a little snug but fit with no problem.

Are you liking the BFG's? I mostly wonder at this point if you find the ride rougher or if there is a big weight difference that you notice?

For future reference, 225/75r16 will indeed fit. Matter of fact my 2007 Sport came stock with this size. However, you really have to watch that size because a lot of them are commercial or E load rated tires. All the years I have owned mine everyone has told be to go with 235/70 or 245/70 instead because there are a lot more tire choices that have a plusher ride.

I am looking at BFG's right now and one of them is a D load tire which I have never ran.

If you are planning on taking the KJ off road, then you need to increase your ground clearance, and the easiest way to do this is to simply fit the biggest diameter tyres you can find that will fit inside the stock wheel arches without rubbing. Stock 235/70R16 tyres's have a diameter of 29 inches, but you can fit 30.1 inch tyres (255/70R16) without rubbing...so you might even be able to get away with 30.5 inch tyres (245/75R16) without rubbing too...

You can shake your head if you like but I can assure you that my KJ came fitted with that exact same tyre size on the stock steel rims, at the back, with 235/70R16's on the stock steels rims at the front, so I know they definitely fit!...I can't 100% guarantee they will fit on the front without rubbing, but they definitely fit perfectly on the back. They were a lot heavier than 235/70R16 tyres though...About 5kg (11lbs) heavier! As soon as I noticed the difference in size between the front and rear tyres I realised it would cause axle or transmission damage if I tried to use 4X4, so as soon as I could I swapped the steel rims out for lighter 16" alloys and 235/70R16's on both the front and the back. For off road use, the 255/70R16's would give a modest diff lift of about 14mm (9/16") and a body lift of about 29mm (about 1 1/8").

Its not that I do not beleive you, its the fact that once you post something like that up someone will think its OK to do so.
PLUS like I posted above265-75-16s ( 32s ) will fit on the back at stock height , but should you do it ? Heck no LOL
