2012 Jeep Liberty KK: P0116 / Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

A new error code popped up today while still trying to sort out my First Daily Start-Up issue. ‘P0116 / Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.’ I found what I think is the correct sensor, with two next to each other. Which sensor needs to be replaced… I believe it’s the smaller of the two, but completely sure.

measure resistance when cold, then again when warm/hot. is sensor not reading right? or wires or contacts. sensor cheap but test it first.
