But that’s enough about speed because frankly, sticking a massive engine in an SUV isn’t this SRT’s greatest feat. That would be its handling. Coil springs along with a Bilstein adaptive damping suspension is found all the way around, along with front and rear stabilizer bars. Cornering is flat and planted while understeer is suprisingly minimal.
On the race track when speeds are higher, you can feel this sports SUV start to push a bit in the corners, but the speeds at which it can be flung around a track are mind bending compared to its heavy set nature.

Thanks to the Bilstein adaptive suspension setup, the Grand Cherokee SRT offers five different drive modes: auto, sport, tow, track and snow. Track mode, being the most ********, offers optimized performance for racetracks, but we found that the stability control system was still a little too intrusive.

Yeah it's no different the a compass or patriot.The KL uses actual struts,not coilovers like the KJ/KK.It will be only a spacer lift so really not worth it eitherway.There will be lifts, main issue is the rear and the length of the rear CVs and angles. It will be doable, just will take some head scratching
RRO saying the front is the issue is laughable to say the least
there won't be 3-4 inch lifts but more in the way of 1.5-2 inch I'd say from what I've seen
Finally got one in the shop the other day,not bad looking but the trans is horrid as all it does is shift,never stay's in 1 gear long enough unless your at a steady cruise speed.From the trans supplier parts of that trans will reach of 350-400 degrees and it specs a very expensive trans fluid(like $20 per qt) and change intervals 50k but Chrysler is stating 100k in severe duty use only.That is asking for a lot of future problems.
We should be glad it's not a CVT at least I guess :shrug:

That's pretty HOT isn't it? Hopefully it is built for it and the ****** fluid is made to keep it from burning up. 9 speeds is probably too many but I am no ****** engineer? Maybe 6 speeds would be enough?

I doubt anyone will maintain it correctly and you will see a lot of issues 5-6 years down the road since it would cost several hundred dollars to do a trans service.Getting people to change there oil is a challenge at $30.I just don't get the 8-9-whatever speed transmissions, I know its suppose to be smoother and you hardly know its shifting, maybe better mileage but it also means more issues down the line. Plus I like to feel mine shift, I like that feeling.
I see it as more of a marketing ploy than anything else . If the trans fluid for them is 20 bucks a quart then how many will maintain them they way they should be?
