I know you guys say the 265's kill your power with 3.73's but I found a set of mudders in 265/75/16 with decent tread for $65 on craigslist and I really want to buy them but how realistic is it to run them?

I'd want to regear pretty quick....

Are going to run them full time? If not, you might get away with it...

no just from about middle of November till the first of march probably.

For the price I don't think you can go wrong.
Try 'em Wes, then you will know for sure.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking...

First say goodbye to using Overdrive
Second it will shift all of the time if you try and use overdrive
Third it will run hotter since more heat is being built up in the trans etc.
Fourth gas mileage will be shot to hell
Fifth those are heavy tires more than likely so even worse
Sixth not worth it unless you regear if only for a few months, ******* the engine and trans plus what you'll have to cut to use them
But what the heck do I know right :icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen:

Oh and I actually run 265-75s and did before I regeared LOL

Hahaha, tom I was waiting on you to chime in! I figured pretty well exactly what you said would be the case. I was searching for 265's intending on 265/70's since they're not that far from what I'm running now (255/70/16's) but the 75's were all that I found so I thought I'd ask. I don't have the money to regear right now so I will probably have to pass on them although they're a steal of a deal!

Even with the 4.10s I'm thinking next set may be 265-70s gain even some more back in terms of power etc. Plus 265-70s look good on Moabs
