Hi,

Will 275/70/16 fitted on stock 2002 CRD KJ produce any issues, 235/70/16 on it at the moment

I have no idea! I also have a 2002 Export 2.5L CRD....mid 2002!
Not sure what the original height was from Factory.

At some stage in 2002 on this model the Factory had to lower the suspension....best to check your ride height which has probably dropped in any case over time!;)

I agree, ride height has dropped, but full new suspension is being fitted this Christmas!

So... Want a nice big ol set of tires on her

WAY to big for any stock suspension
If going to lift at a minimum 3-3.25 inches, then losing power and mileage if not regearing, yes even with a CRD
I would drop to a 245-75-16s if using stock wheels , or 265-70-16s if going to 8 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of backspacing and with 2.5 inch OME lift ( with OME 790 front springs of course, 948 rear ) you will be good

KJs have small wheelwells going any bigger than 245-70-16s even when brand new was close
with even 65-70000 miles they would be at least an inch lower
