3.7L engine....interesting read

In 2005, the 3.7 engine was treated to numerous economy and idle-quality changes, with a new cam profile, lash adjusters, rings, and a 9.7:1 compression ratio.

That's also why there was a TSB for the valves/locks. They couldn't leave a good engine alone.

Glad I bought a 2004 ! Mine is still very low k , but I know Ryan has over 200,000km on his 04, and has had zero problems regarding engine or valves.
Based on that TSB, they should have left it alone, for sure.

Hey, mine is not rainbow colored......

I just got the plain jane version and I just crank mine up to 5 grand occasionally to keep all the parts moving and keep the TSB away....

Agreed give it a good workout of a nice take off, maybe not up to 5k everyday but atleast 4k

201,953KM on my 2004 Limited and it gets a thorough work out every weekend no Rust at all and motor still works perfect minus the Oil Pressure switch issue I have to get fixed.

My sister has an '05, no TSB required and it runs a heck of a lot smoother than my old '04!

I thought about swapping in the 05 and up cams, but figured it wouldn't be worth the hassle for not a huge increase.
