$34,000 for a KK?

I found this on ebay and they show the original window sticker....$34,000?!?! Doesn't that seem a bit crazy? Granted it looks awesome inside and has all the options but I think I'd get a Grand Cherokee if I had that kind of money to throw at a Jeep.

Being brand new with pretty much all the options(not all but almost all) it can bring the price well over $30k.Same outfitted WK but with a HEMI will reach well over $40k easily.

And a 5.7 WK or XK Overland will top 45k easy...may as well get a Land Rover...

I guess it just proves why so many people are jumping into Kia's or Scions..... regular vehicle have gotten absurdly expensive to purchase new. I've bought 1 new vehicle in my life and will probably never get to do that again. I almost shit myself when I saw that a Ford F150 could go for as high as $43,000. And 60+ for a Super Duty? But hey, we are in a recession. The economy *****. Just cuz people aren't making any money doesn't mean they can't charge an arm and a leg....and a few extra fingers.

Yup, that 100k mile powertrain warranty doesn't do much for broken springs and toasted tie rod ends and wheel bearings at 40k miles

Dang that’s crazy! I bought my KJ for a little under 8k at the 75,000 mile mark. Granted it’s only a 2wd, but It has been a pretty reliable vehicle. I’m sure I will get many years out of it. You can get a Kj for a decent price you just gota look around.

And where the heck is the light bar on that 2010 renegade? Come on Chrysler stop being cheap! Make your customers happy.

I managed to pick up my 07 liberty sport 4x4 back in FEB. of this year for a little over 14k, granted it only had 21,650 miles on it, so the price was right in my book.

The depreciation of my KJ hit me hard in the wallet. If I bought another new Jeep, they would have to discount it way more than they already do. Smart money buys used cars. Or BMWs.

I've never bought a brand new car, and doubt I ever will. My last car (2003 Saab 9-3ss) I bought at 2 years old for close to $10K less than new and actually got a better warranty than if I bought it brand new. A new Saab comes with a 3yr/36K mi bumper to bumper. A CPO (certified pre-owned) comes with a 10/100 from original in service date. That was 8 years and over 60k miles for me!

Got my Rene at about 4 years old for a boatload less than a new one too.

Seems crazy high for a KK, but, as TJ pointed out, the thing is absolutely loaded. Which is why, in my opinion you shouldn't buy loaded vehicles. I think that an enterprising driver can buy equivalent quality (and in some cases better) accessories, install them himself and in the end still have a cheaper vehicle.

Dealers make a fair amount of markup on the extras (which is perfectly reasonable).

I bought my 08 KK in 2009. It had been on the lot for a year. Sticker was $26,500. I got it for $18,500. I wouldn't pay $34K for a Liberty. I would get a XK(Commander) with a Hemi for that kinda cash.

Same with me,my Kj was on the lot for $25,500 in '02 and drove away with it for $17,000.
