Hello i drove my 2.8l liberty home no problem, 2 hours later turn the key and nothing. I pulled the starter and bench tested it seems good, battery is less than a year old. I found the 40 am fuse was blowen. What would cause that. And I have a block heater so I don't think the cold weather had a play in it

Has the new one blown? If not it may just have been age, time and vibration.
That fuse will supply the starter solenoid, If it goes again you probably have a chaffed wire shorting somewhere.
As WW says there is no fuse on the main starter supply, it's straight off the battery.

So far so good she starts at the turn of the key. And the starter is only 2 years old and the battery less than a year old. Just curious as to why a 40 amp fuse blew.
Thanks bob
