65 Corvair's Steel Front Diff Build

I just got the low pinion mounted in tonight, the position is nearly identical to the original aluminum housing. Using 5012444AA Pinion Flange, the front driveshaft fits perfect.
Next step is to measure up for the driver's side mount and get it designed.

This is such a cool project.

I was thinking the same project untill i saw this post,do you finally install it?

Not yet, I have not worked on this for a while. I still need to figure out how to attach the driver's side mount to the cast housing.
I want to try to avoid welding on the cast housing near the pinion bearing area.
If there are any updates, I will be sure to post it.
