Hey fellas, new to this forum but not to car forums in general. I know the drill re: searching before asking the same ol newb ?'s, BUT after a search i was unable to get the answers i need.

1)Im looking at this particular KJ to buy, is an 03 LTD from a local dealership. Upon inspecting the undercarriage, i saw it had yellow OME rear shocks. Now, do these come standard? I know a popular lift kit consists of aftermarket OME shocks/struts and just wanted to know if Chrysler sources the stock setup from OME as well...

2)Now, is there a clear/distinct way i can tell whether or not an LTD has the Selec Trac 4wd?? I was under impression this system was only given with the fully loaded LTD (and Rene) with leather seats. And by the same token, if the KJ comes with leather seats, am i to assume is has the Selec Trac?

Thanx fellas! Hope to join ya'll soon

1: Those are not factory at all.
2: yes, Selec Trac (the less desirable transfer case for long-term reliability - there is a reason XJ and ZJ and WJ guys swap out their Selec Trac NV/NP242 for an NV/NP231 or 241) will have a 4FT position on the shifter. The 242 transfer case was optional in all automatic transmission models, standard in all 05-6 US market CRDs.

Thanx for the reply. The yellow OME's were wearing pretty badly and i couldnt make out much more on the label other than they were OME's...any clue which ones these are? Oh yea, and i didnt see any towhooks from the front bumper, arent those suppose to come standard?

Im in Ohio as well, just a shout out to the good ol boys:)

Awesome. There's a bunch of us here in the SW corner of Ohio, and a bunch in the NW corner. Where in Ohio are ya?

Tow hooks were an option. If you buy one without tow hooks, ThunderbirdJunkie will have a front hitch for sale soon :p

The OME N132s are the most likely shock that's on there if it is stock. Any pictures of this Jeep, or a description? It may be one that some of us have worked on, and can give you insight on it.

Im in Norwalk, OH. Use to live in Toledo yrs ago. I been all over the f'in place in last 5 yrs...anywho...no pics yet but it looks relatively stock. It DOES have the chrome wheels (****** ugly) but other than that and the OME's, nothin else looks out of ordinary. Has typicall LTD shit like the painted fender flares. Has 80k miles and looks pretty solid....

oh, and when i get my KJ i will def hit u up for some used aftermarket/option goodies, will DEF want the front hitch.
