AC field coil removal '07 3.7 HS-18 compressor

Hello to all KJ owners, new member here trying to get some help here. I have a new AC clutch, pully and coil kit for my wife's '07 because the clutch would not engage the compressor (I diagnosed it as a bad coil). Got the clutch and pulley off but having a hard time trying to figure out how to get the coil off. Other posts I've read claim there is a snap ring that holds the coil on the compressor shaft, however there does not seem to be one. The only thing I'm seeing is this here that may be a snap ring:

Would this be a snap ring and if so what snap ring pliers would I need to remove it?

On the hs18 the coil is a press fit with no snap ring.
I used a couple of small pry bars to remove and a rubber mallet to install.
