Stock wheels are 7 inches wide with 5 inches of backspacing or +25mm
When Lifted a 7 inch wide wheel with 4 inches of backspacing or 0 mm works great
OR
if running wider tires like 265-70-16s for example
8 inch wide with 5 inches of backspacing or 12mm

These are the sizes that work best IMO, no rubbing, not sticking out throwing debris everywhere

always have to stop and think of the mm since I grew up using inches

Hey Tom, 03 renegade, I just put the OME lift with Bilsteins. And a top plate spacer on the front with an extra Isolator on the rear. Currently running a set of 31 10.5 15s with ranger rims(barely a mm of clearance with caliper!). A buddy of mine has a new set of rubicon wheels from 2018 JL. Basically I need new wheels and with that will come tires. I'd like to buy my buddies rims with an adapter, I'd wind up about $300 into those rims with the adapter set.

What's your thoughts on those rims with the adapter, and if you think it's a go, what size tire to mount?

I'm not a fan of spacers at all
But lots of folks run them so,....
You'll need to stick to a tire like 245-70-17 , 30.5 inches tall
Use quality spacers like spidertrax, some of those ones from China etc are just not good at all , or I would never trust them
Those Wrangler wheels are a dime a dozen, no one wants them so they are everywhere
So I guess he wants a 100 bucks for them ? Spidertrax spacers will be 200 ( or they were )
Also remember you will not be able to use one as a spare unless you buy 3 sets of spacers

Thanks Tom, he wants 150, and I thought it was a deal, he only put 5000 highway on them. Then upgraded, I didn't look around to compare yet, but I will.

What about specs for those of us who came with factory 235/65R17's? I'm looking to get new wheels to replace the corroded factory chrome-cladded wheels.
