...or is the plastic trim a different color than on the other sport models? Seems to look more tan to me, but I can't tell if that's just an optical illusion.

Does anyone know for sure? Do all colors use the same part numbers for trim??

Light Khaki is the main paint but it also includes a metallic clear coat on top of that. The trim doesn't use a metallic clear coat and is considered just Khaki. The differences you might see depends on how clean the comparison KJ is, age, or just reflections.

It IS different, there are 3 different colors of plastic trim....

There's a tan shade, light gray (I got it...grrr, I hate it), and a darker gray.

The color of the Sport bumpers/flares/trim is dependent on which color you order from the factory.

Cool, I am not crazy (at least, about this).

My friend has a '99 Wrangler (and is giddy that I want a Jeep). His black plastic trim was looking shabby, so some creative taping with playing cards and a can of Krylon Fusion for $5, and his trim looks better than new. I suppose I could paint the khaki trim black too if it ever starts to look crappy...Wonder how that would look...

I really like inferno red, I like the Khaki, and I like the dark blue (atlantic blue is OK too). I am shying away from the dark blue as I am afraid it'll show nicks and scratches too easily. Silver is cool, but wife has a silver car and my current car is silver. I'd like a change. I do have a requirement that the interior be grey and not tan. Just personal preference, all of my cars have always been grey interior.

Tan = Khaki
Light Gray = Graystone
Darker Gray = Slate Gray or Dark Slate Gray (black)

The plastic trim does begin to look like crap over time. I have to apply a coat of what ever shiney stuff I have in my detailing box every couple of weeks to keep the color to them....lately i've been putting the same Black Magic Tire Foam that I use on the tires on them.
