Thinking of going to a bigger tire.
We've been using Goodyear M/T R Kevlar tires and really like them.
Excellent tires!
But I want to go wider so I'm looking at the Nitto Trail Grappler M/T in
285-70-16's 31.71" tall, 11.22" wide.
So really a 32" by 11¼" wide.

Never owned them, but have sold them nice built. They arte loud and tread wear isn't the greatest on road.

I think he's running the Terra Grabbler it's kinda a fake AT tire. Good tire also just Feathers really bad over time if not rotated and balanced regularly

x2. Had them on my truck. Loud hum from the rear set. I had 295's, and they were to heavy for my stock brakes. Had to end up trading them for some BFGoodRich 285 AT's. Didn't ride the greatest either.

My co worker has Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's on his GMC K1500 if your debating 265 75 16. On his second set he loved the first ones so much but went to 285s.

Wore pretty sensibly, something like 80 000 km on a set. I think they were E's. Abused, lots of gravel, rotated once and had buggered ball joints so fronts scalloped bad but not bald by any stretch.

Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels

A bit loud but I haven't rid in a jeep with MT/R K so they might be normal for you. Did good in snow, not great on ice.

Another coworker has the trail grappler M/T Nitto tires, They look a little chunked and don't' think its from abuse. Haven't driven myself but he hates them in winter. F150 crew cab 4x4. Don't think hes buying again.

One thing about Nitto is they do make great odd ball sizes as there is not much selection in 70 series tires on 16 inch rims. 285 70 in trail, 265 70 in terra. Atleast its another option that size as their arent many that I would consider running.

I run the Terra's on my KJ and LR3. Both are doing good, have about 15k on the LR3 set and about 20k on the KJ's. Nothing bad to say yet. The set on the LR3 did good at the Badlands.
