I just got an offer in the mail for an insurance deal Jeep has through AIG Insurance. I called up for a quote, and it was a lot lower than what I currently pay through Allstate.

Anybody have any experience (positive or negative) with them they care to share?

Thanks.

Most insurance is lower than allstate initially. if you ever get a ticket or an accident, you will lose the discount for the next year and it will come out to the same. i have used several different insurance companies over the previous years and they have always started out low. I was with Allstate previously and they were higher, but never raised the rates for tickets or accidents.

I had progressive, but switched because they got to expensive. We need commercial coverage since my wife is a manager for a paper and has to sling open routes.

State farm was cheaper (even with 1 crash), than Progressive. Since then we've had two more claims and our rates for 2 kj's, full coverage, and commercial coverage have gone from 200 to 220 a month. That's also with 100,000/200,000 coverage limits (well above the state mins).

I have AIG auto insurance, so far no claims. Farmers raised my rates when I bought the Jeep Liberty. I switch to AIG same coverage as Farmer for much lower rates.

I've got really good rates with State Farm... but then I've had them since I was 16 and no wrecks. Strange thing... my '06 TJ is $5 less a month then my '04 KJ. Not sure why? I figured it would be the other way around since the TJ seems to be easier to roll, but then it does have the roll bars. I guess TJ's have less wrecks??? :-s
