The spring is physically longer with additional coils though, so without a longer bump stop it could bottom out, as the H&R lift is quite small I don't know if this would be a problem, the OP on this post had issues, but Erskine didn't so difficult to call, personally I'd go with Tom's rule of inch of lift = inch of extra bump stop for peace of mind.
ok, I figure the rear adding a hocky puck to the bottom of each side is minimal. Not sure how they secure, but I will work that out when I see the setup first hand...
how are front bump stops done?

This is what the extended front bump stops look like - you can get these ones on eBay or if you call Terraflex they apparently still sell theirs but just don't have them online. they just snap into a cup on the body above the upper control arm.

I have tried several times, and I still can't get mine into their home. The day I get them in ill celebrate. All the difficult things I do on cars and can't get these in

A great member from here sent them up to me from their place.

They appear to be for 2" lift. do you just cut them down to match a lower lift?

A 2x4 on edge using the tire as a fulcrum seems to work for most.

found another reason to use longer bump stops, tire size considerations.
Even if your setup cannot bind the springs and the shocks are protected via stock bump stops as mine are.
larger tires may still rub in full flex and this can be mitigated with a bump stop extension.

The tires on our rig are 245/65R17 and we have not found any rub, tho I have yet to flex it fully out (two corners off the ground and wheels cranked over)
I might add 1" bump stop to the rear as we do the springs, front bump stops are in very good condition and like I said, unless the tires rub, nothing to worry about.
IF they do rub in the future we can do the fronts then.

I contacted H&R tech and asked about the springs compressed length, it is equal to the stock spring so bind is not an issue.
