Hello all,
I'm new to Michigan (from California) and looking for some good off road trips this summer.
I have an 06 KJ with Toyo 245/75r16 AT tires and soon a 1.5" lift. No lockers for now.
I'm also not new to off roading.

Anyone have any trails or places you recommend?

I don't really enjoy mud, I like more rocky, sandy, slow speed technical stuff and trails to cool locations.

Also if anyone has any 4x4 groups in the area let me know, much safer than going alone!

I hear the Manistee National Forest has some great forest roads for Jeeping. I don’t know if it’s still up and running but Bundy Hill offroad park is there for some technical crawling. Not sure what part of the state you’re in.

There is another off-road park near Howell that is pretty decent. Without lockers, the parks are a good place to start because there are plenty of others there to assist you if needed.
