What if any benefits would this do to a 2WD KJ?

Also would this fit on my 05 KJ? (8.25 29 spline 10 cover rear end)

I have no knowledge of this stuff and it doesn't make a lot of sense so will someone please clarify this because at this point to me it's Muddier than Tom :D:D:p

Even on a two wheel drive vehicle a locker can come in handy if you ever take the thing off road. In mud, on ice, or a tire up in the air it will provide power to the tire that still has traction.

Sweet so question is do you think I should get it? Right now I don't go off road because the one time I did I got stuck because of crappy highway tires.. now I have Firestone Destinations A/T's and I went through some mud, no problems.. So would this Locker improve it even more?

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
It's been rumored that aussie is yanking the 8.25 lunchbox locker, therte having some major issues with them form manufacturer variances throughout the years of it's production.Plus there warranty and customer service *****,ask Digger about it,he blew up a aussie in his KK in 1400miles.

Well If your a serious off roader I'd just trade your 2wd in for a 4wd. I've heard some bad stuff about that track lok stuff.

It depends on how big off an off roader you want to be. I'm happy with my
2wd it's still pretty good off road (after all it is a jeep)

I'm a mild off roader so I just go through fields not through muddy trails.

You live in Oklahoma so I think your 2wd will do fine. Just don't drive in mud:)

Do believe if I had a 2wd I would go with a detroit locker or a tru-trac 4.56 gears and have a sleeper red light racer.IMHO

If your talking about a red light sleeper then might as well go with a ford 9", fab up a 4 link, and drop in a small block...

Or buy a Jeep SRT-8 and debadge it.

That defeats the effort for a sleeper. You want the corvette next to you thinking that you're in a stock Lib sport and then shocked when you light up the tires after giving him a second head start...
