I need some advice. I have a 2012 liberty that is stock with the stock wheels. 16x7 with 5.5 backspacing. If I went to a 15x8 at 3.75 of backspace would I rub on my fender or suspension leaving it stock with the 15x8's? This backspacing is stressful to understand.

Not knowing much about newer Liberty's I'm still going to say you will have rubbing issues
Let someone chime in as I'm not sure about them, but with 15x8 and 3.75" of backspacing I needed 3.25" of lift to not rub EVEN with pounding the pinch welds so don't bother trying it stock

The lower the number in regards to backspacing, the further it'll push the tires outward

Unlifted on an 08-12 you need to stay with stock backspacing
8 inch wide wheel with 3.75 backspacing would rub at every turn, even slight turn in the road. Even lifted 8 inch with 3.75 is a no-no.
8 inch is too wide stock period .

Like I said, I needed 3.25" and pound the pinch weld to make mine not rub at all but it's close
If you go 3.5" you'll be fine
15x8 with the 3.75" bs works fine don't worry about it, I have them on 31s and they fit great and look very good

Okay. Thank you! I am putting a 3" lift on this. Do you think I will still rub?

3 inch lift stick with 7 inch wide 4 inches of backspacing
8 inches wide 5 inches of backspacing on 8 inch wide wheels
On a KK there are very few 15 inch wheels that work at all

little different than a KJ
