To me, it was the OME 2926 springs. Don't get me wrong, they are great springs! It is just that they did not lift the Jeep 2.5" as I intended, and now I will have to put the 2927 instead... And re-align off course...:emotions122:

Only waste was using a cheaper than MOPAR tri-link, but since they were back-ordered had to go with what I could get at the time. 3 months later when the cheap one went south I had a Mopar waiting.
Other than that no waste of time or money really
I research everything first, that why I hated my stock suspension from September 2004 when I bought the KJ till March and had bought everything that I found the best at the time .

I wasted quite a lot of time trying to locate an annoying noise that I thought was coming from somewhere inside the dash. It sounded like a wire that was vibrating and hitting the plastic inside the dash. I took apart the entire dash, and taped down pretty much every wire that I saw...
Eventually I found out that it was an exhaust leak :happy175:. The nuts on the bolts holding the flange on the downpipe to the flange on the exhaust manifold on the passenger side had worked themselves loose, creating a small leak.

Painting the wheels the first time instead of just powder coating them.
Went to do an r&p swap (rear end) and the craptastic gear marking compound from the 'master bearing kit' was useless. :favorites68: Due to limited time, I had to rebuild the diff without changing the ratio. :blah:
Get your proper yellow GM marking compound (or equivalent) beforehand.
1. Replacing LBJs, UCA bushings, spring isolators for a creaking noise over bumps, ended up being the driver's side front shock mount.
2. Spending money at the dealer when the trans started to fail, they didn't know what they were doing, should've taken it to the real trans shop from the start.

Mine would be buying the wrong parts! Most recently was brake pads. I received my new front pads only to find they dont fit. A closer inspection of the paper work, under the tiny little asterisk says it fits Jeeps up to 2002.

Curious about the shock mount issue as I am experiencing something similar. Were you able to just tighten things up or did you need a new mount?

2002-2007 KJ's all use the same front pads.
You bought pads for the wrong Jeep? As was stated in another thread all 02-07 pads are the same.

Great to drive although I haven't driven any of the Liberty gassers. Maybe they do just as well with what torque they have. I like the sound of the diesel working; when it works harder it just grumbles deeper. Love the turbo for passing and I don't get passed much climbing up to the mountain passes.
"Katrina" prices on diesel never came down. Dealer reflash lowered mileage to 19mpg summer, 14mpg winter.
