Burning Smell

i have a burning smell that comes in my car. it usually starts after my engine is warned up and ive been doing either light off roading or when i go through a puddle. it smells light hot creek water and melting plastic.

Do you change your own oil? Is it possible that you got some oil on top of the skid when changing the filter and its burning off?

It's most likely just the dirty water evaporating off the hot exhaust.

I noticed this on days when I am running late to work and go about 75ish to work. Since it hasn't rained much lately I haven't noticed it.

It was rainy on my way to work today and I got a bit of the "hot" smell once I got out of the Jeep. I've never smelled it inside though.
