So, after I got my Speedo calibrated for my 245/75/16 mud tires, I asked the guy if another calibration was necessary if I decided to regear. He said “yes” . Do you guys think I would have to do it again? Will the new 4.10 gears throw off the tune they did? . I paid $350 bucks.
He told me they did a “Stage 1” tune or calibration. This is what they did:
-They measured the tire size.
-They weighed the car.
-Reprogrammed the wheel speed sensor on the rear diff.
-Reprogrammed the new tire ratio into the transmission.
-They modified the throttle response. Now I don’t have to press the pedal all the way in, especially when fully loaded.
