You don't have front springs, you are a liar.
:killit:
Is this the right room for an argument? Hehe. Did you get Monty Python on the tv over there? If not, that won't mean anything to you! :smokin:

Gone slightly off topic here but what the hell............... Hehe :smokin:
One of their best skits! Also great is the dead parrot.
Ok if you want real world experiance. I just took a bunch of my lead I use to make bullet with to the scrapyard. 9 buckets and a few bars weighed 1422#. It all fit nicely with the seat down and rode fine. The front end WAS a little light, not bad though. The guy at the scale house wonderd what kind of car I was in because it was hardly squating at all. Total weight 5400 pounds.

so they weighed it on a full size scale ,weighed the Jeep and cargo all at once?
something sounds fishy with that
Not actually. They do that here. You drive up on the scales and they weigh the loaded vehicle and then it is unloaded and you drive back up on the scales and then they weigh it again and subtract the difference. The difference was the weight of the cargo.
Around here they do that everywhere. At the scrap yard, the stone quarry, the dump.
Dave
Yeah I know
I am the guy who installs/services those scales
that is not the fishy part
the part that is fishy is that they told him he had 1422# on a scale
that ,by federal law, has to weigh by 20# division if it is being used for buying or selling
the other fishy part was that his KJ weighed under 4000#
even a 2wd 4 ****** weighs over 4000#
just saying........
Soo,you are the guy who sets scales up to screw everybody? Interesting.
I don't think JT means that. He was questioning the math. If it was a salvage yard paying someone for weight of scrap, I don't trust them. I have had several instances that didn't seem right myself.
