guess that means that i should plan the next trip down in late spring/ early summer?? LOL

If I have enough notice for a late spring ride, I would to make it out there!
The idea of exploring these ghost towns sound awesome but I don't have any close to me...
Any good camping places around to make a good weekend camping trip out of it?

About 30 miles south of Centralia at Raush Creek. You can camp at Raush Creek and wheel there too.

Here is my pics of the trip

It was an awesome time and it was a pleasure meeting everyone! Members of Jeep KJ Country, Lost Jeeps & Jeep Forum and several other forums were all represented. I lost track of exactly how many vehicles we had (I stopped counting at 18) but the convoy to the jumping off point was very cool. Residents along the way, and even passing motorists were all having a good time watching us, especially the small children. There were numerous different jeep models represented and a Chevy Blazer & Dodge Pickup Truck.

The KJ's were well respresented and comments were made at how "we" changed a few "Jeepers" perceptions of the KJ. I even heard someone say that they have'nt seen too many Liberties out on runs before.

Towards the end of the day 5 of us (Green JK Unlimited Rubicon, Red Lifted KJ, Red Lifted XJ, Blue Lifted XJ, Yellow Lifted Wrangler, and my stock height self) broke off from the main group and did some trails and logging roads that had a little bit of everything, off camber, rocks & logs, muddy water holes, ruts. Now that was fun, and I only heard a few bangs coming from my under carriage!!

Definately learned on this trip that I need to lift my KJ after the rubbing at moderate to full flex in the rear and bangs to the under carriage with the 245/75/16 mounted!

Enough of me talking, here are a few pics:

Great pics, Dave! Looks like a lot of fun!

Thanks. The drive down there was beautiful too. Through the NY and PA mountains with good colors. No traffic. Cruising at 70. Should have taken a couple of pics on the interstate.

Good to meet you, Jim. It was fun. We will be going again either a winter snow run or spring. Stay tuned.

Looks like a good time and great pics.
Appears some group should stage a clean up of the area though, looks like everyones dumping ground in a couple of those shots.
So who owns it now the State or Federal Government?
