Hello all,(1st time poster, but these forums have helped me a lot...)

Below I have two pictures of a hose that was not connected to anything that I discovered while I was changing my oil. Back story: Hit a pot hole Friday and check engine light came on, changed oil yesterday and had a hose right in front of my oil filter that was never there before, pulled on it a little and discovered it was unconnected from something. Recent work included changing front shocks and struts. I am left clueless as to even where this hose comes from since light was fading. Hopefully one of you may know. Thanks for any and all insight.

I went to the local advanced and got the CEL checked. See below.

I'm assuming this is the downstream O2 sensor on the exhaust, but I can't find a "good" reference. Maybe someone will have better insight than google.

Going from what I've read so far this is bank 1 sensor 2 which is located on the drivers side after the CAT. Also from what I've read its better to go with the NTK sensor since it's OEM. If this is incorrect any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks again everyone.

This is what I would get and put on unless someone says different. NTK Oxygen Sensor 23159: Advance Auto Parts

edit* also the code was stated ont he reader 3 times for current, past, and pending. P2271 was code for all 3 occurrences.
