Im throwing together a little tool box to keep with me. Including various things such as jb weld, pb blaster, a couple hose clamps and some pliers sockets etc. What are the most common sized sockets i should include to take care of most every thing i would need to on the go? Also what do you guys have in your boxes?

I carry everysize from 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inch
then metrics from 10 to both 35 and 36
carry all sizes of wrenches, extensions, 1/4 -3/8- 1/2 inch drive rachets,
not only could I work on mine but most anyone I would run into on the road or trail.

Better to have and not need than need it and not have. Goes for tools and guns both.

Sockets.......9mm through 18mm (deep and regular) in 3/8 drive set and spark plug socket with extentions/ratchets. I do carry a 1/2" drive lug socket with extention and ratchet. That's a bare minimum.

Thats his daily driver
like most of us if he goes it has to go :happy175:
I carry mine all the time, you never know where you'll end up, from helping someone along the road to a buddy who's tractor broke down in the hay field.
Take all of the tools, plus recovery equipment, CO2 tank, couple of rechargeable lights, extra blankets, water, oh and the small torch setup, etc etc etc I can only carry two extra people and no luggage if a long trip:happy175:

I hear ya. Im trying to put together just enough to get the job done. Frequently need to flip down the seats to transport this or that. So i figure a tool box with tools to fit my jeep and my bag of straps and chains should keep me out of most trouble

Ammo cans work well also to hold straps / clevis' / etc and can be strapped down easily . I also keep the torches in one to protect them and have everything I need in that one box. Have a pair of gloves stuck away also , they come in handy.
Plus you gotta have a roll of TP :happy175:

Oh for storing sockets check out the urethane ones from OFF ROAD TRAIL TOOLS in Tucson Arizona , I have 4 or 5 of theirs to hold some of the 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive.
I also use a couple of their wrench rolls , they come with handles, lots of pockets inside etc , very handy when you need to carry something aways away from your vehicle

It came out awesome. I can do a Complete write up if any one is interested. Everyone was saying bring everything because you never know what could happen. So i opted to go light on the tools and carry my long board instead because you never know when your going to need to shred! Btw sorry the pic is so small, im posting from my phone and cant get to the full size image. Should probly start a photo bucket or something
