Coolant leak no puddle on ground

Hello everyone! Well I'm back again with yet another new problem with my kj 2004 164k miles. So my girlfriend was driving back from work and she started overheating (the jeep not cari) and when i got to the jeep i couldnt find any leaks. Took it home looked a bit closer in the daylight ans found a super tiny crack in the plastic top drivers side of the radiator. I'll add a pic later. So my question is do any of y'all know if this could cause the fluid to drain all the way down in 10 days with normal driving around. I didn't see any oil in the coolant tank also I did the cardboard under the engine and didn't see anything. It looks like I need a new oil pan seal though Thanks for any words of wisdom that you can spare.

It's a pressurized system + heat would expand the plastic.

Yep it will I had the same type of crack on my old 04 under pressure it would squirt out and evap away

Had a nearly identical crack awhile back.. put a couple thick layers of a jbweld product on it for a long time. But I wouldn't suggest a quick fix, I'd just get a new radiator.. I only did, because I was a broke college kid at the time, but our engines aren't fans of overheating..

Also had the same crack around 130K miles. Took a few weeks to troubleshoot as I had the same symptoms - ran hot with no visible leak. Kept on topping it off until crack was discovered. New radiator and all good now.

That's the usual spot for the crack to appear. Look for white residue below the upper radiator hose - when the coolant dries or evaporates a residue remains and confirms the leak.

Just replaced mine last week due to a crack in the same place. There's 210,000 miles on my KJ now and the original factory radiator went out at 103,000, the second Mopar radiator went out at 210,000. So if I get over 100,000 miles on this one I'll be over 300K by then. Not bad I suppose
