Stealership wanted to charge me 20 bucks a piece for the underdash courtesy lights, so i thought id take out the lights from the courtesy lights on the cieling that i have now use for since i installed the EVIC. i spliced them in and they look nice but i was thinking about the BCM. Could it overload the BCM? the lights are the little stock bulbs but im just wondering......

Yes of course, you can over load the BCM. If you want to go all out you could use the power that would normally go to the lights and put a relay in. If the lights youre currently using are the same watts and youre not adding any extra lights then you should be good to go.

Have you checked a common auto parts store for the bulb?

idk if i understand what you mean, but all i did was i took the stock overhead lights and spliced them into the harnesses from the footwell lights. to simplify my question, are the bulbs i put in to much for the bcm to handle or will i be ok. i dont know much about amperage or wattage to be sure

what bulbs did you put in?

wait, you took the ceiling lights off and replaced them with the others, right? If so, you are fine.

Ohhhhh, I thought the bulbs were blown and you were trying to replace the bulbs.

You should be ok using the stock lighting like that. How did you mount that thing under the dash?? Just curious..

Yes I installed the evic and it has built in lights so I took the lights from the piece that was there before the evic and put them into the underdash. As for the mounting.....I haven't gotten that far, they are just hanging up there but they work nice and look good and they arnt touching anything so I'll just leave them for now. If I can figure out how to post pics I will. BTW, how can I get my pics to show up IN the post, not as a link?
