2005 Jeep liberty Sport 3.7 4wd. Has 140k Miles on and I noticed the Anti freeze was low. Filled it. No water in oil. Ran fine until White smoke poured out tailpipe while headed up to Eisenhower tunnel. My research, and from reading this forum, I have discovered that the 3.7 has a tendency to blow head gaskets, crack heads, blocks. Knowing this I have changed the oil religiously to ensure no sludge and to avoid the oil galleries getting clogged as I hear that happens
I had it towed home. Getting it taken into the shop. From what picking the brains of mechanics friends tell me its likely the end for this otherwise well maintained and running vehicle. Any thoughts?

Probably a head gasket leak. Doesn’t have to be the end of the Jeep at all. Resurface the heads, install new gaskets, and keep driving it.

Head gasket leak is a common problem of the 3.7 pass 100k, just resurface the head and get a new gasket. The most critical part is get a good reputable shop to do it! Sloppy replacement will bring endless troubles.
