Crank sensor removal

Several years ago I gave up my beloved 2006 CRD and my not so loved '89 k2500 for a Super Duty 6.7. Not sure where the K2500 but the CRD stayed in the family and moved to Maui. My son-in-law has a problem that he thinks is associated with the crank sensor but he can't get it out, it is stuck. Any ideas on how to pull it?

Undo the single bolt that holds it in and it should pull out, might be a bit tight on the o ring, if so get a small screwdriver in and leaver it out. Only use Bosch sensors, the cheaper ones are rubbish.

If the diesels are anything like the gassers, the sensor swells and is very difficult to pry out. So, be gentle when prying. I changed it on my 02 with the gas 3.7L but I had the motor apart to replace the crank.
