Looks like I have some rust.:favorites68:
Along the top there were a few spots. Mainly rubbed off with my thumb though, left a few spots for the pic though. Not really sure what to think of it.

Some bonafide rust. Bubbling right at the weld/seam.

Pretty annoying because I wash it like twice a week or more, pay close attention to those areas and there's no rust anywhere else. Doors are fine, the 3rd break light is fine, undercarriage is almost spotless, hitch is spotless, etc. :emotions34:

How should I fix it?

I have it too. 3rd brake light leaks rain water inside the roof and it lays there, and rusts from inside out.
Will be repairing it this summer.

I don't have any rust under the third brake light though...under it it's perfectly clean and rust free.

HJ, that looks pristine compared to mine.
Mine is getting stripped and POR15. Won't kill it but it may slow it down.

Holmen Custom and Collision estimated $700-1000 to do the 3rd tail light area and my lower doors and rockers. Still no guarantee though.

I'm going to do the tail light myself and may have them do the sides so they can match the paint better.

So here's what I think I'll do:
1. Seal around the 3rd brake light (take it off, put a bead of something around, let it cure then put it back on so I can remove it easily)
2. Make sure there's no rust by the 3rd brake light
3. The rust under the glass...sand it, prime, paint

Yeah, ***** doesn't it? Im in the 99.99 percentile for taking care of my Jeeps. I have a hole rusted in my passenger side rocker panel, the passenger side rear door has some rust along the bottom, and Ive had the faint rust like youre showing for 4+ years. I keep the rusting areas packed with grease and also spray fluid film on the rust. Its not progressed at all since Ive found the rusty areas. I wasn't able to find the rust quick enough to keep the rocker panels from getting a hole in them.

One day I found a bubble in the rocker, started poking around and my finger went right through. Very poor planning on jeeps part.

Someone commented that the rust is happening b/c I park it in a garage and rarely ever drive it anymore. Its an 04 with only 92,000 miles. Some peoples opinions :emotions34:

Ill be cutting out the rusty sections of rocker panels, welding in new sections, then bed lining the rocker panels. Ill drill holes along the bottom and fluid film the insides once a year.
