For some of you folks with some tire experience, would you recommend (Spidertrax 1.25 inch) spacers on a Frankenlifted CRD running 235/85-16's???

I like the idea of having spacers but want to know if I am going to NEED them.

Also, what's the best place to get spacers for the best price. I can't find them priced any lower than the MRSP of $199 per set.

Thanks,
Scott

You won't need the spacers for 235/85R16 size. I have that size on my kj and do not use wheel spacers with the stock wheels. You will need to trim the fog light access area, air dam, and pound the pinch weld. You may want to try the tires before you buy since the crd frankenlift has less lift in the front than the standard frankenlift. Some of the crd guys could chime in here.

Thanks iCarl. That sounds good.
Already pounded the pinch welds and don't mind
working in the areas you listed.

Any feedback from some CRD guys???

Thanks again!

You have to do the usual trimming and pounding. If you lock the wheels all the way left or right, you will have some rubbing on the sway bar.
If you want to stop that, it's better to get wheels with different BS over spacers. Personally, I just don't turn the wheel all the way.

Just what I wanted to know. Thanks JLRockies.
I can deal with just not turning the wheel that far...
but if I change my mind, I'll save up the pennies for
some wheels.

BTW, I PMed you a while back off of the LOST forum
because I saw you had the setup that I wanted.
Your setup looks great!
Anyway, thanks!
