Hello, a few monts ago i replaced the thermostat on my 2006 CRD because it was stuck open. The temp gauge wouldnt go past 1/4 and the heating barely worked. Since i replaced it the heating works well and the temp gage stays slightly higher than 1/2. No matter how long/fast i drive, i think it gets a little lower when i stop but ill have to check.
Is this normal? Im gonna check the obd reading..

In this pic i drew in the gauge position:

Seems a little hotter than normal, mine is bolted to the centre of the gauge once it's up to running temperature, however the gauge isn't reading temperature, it's displaying what the ECU tells it so to get a bit more information you'll need to get actual temperature and have a look at what the ECU thinks it is with a scan tool.
