Hello all,
The Woman bought me a set of Curt #22411 front hooks for my birthday cause she's awesome. Problem is they don't look like a direct fit. Has anyone had problems with drilling frame so these can work?

Welcome to the forum.

What you need is the OEM tow hooks and they come with special mounting "M bracket" for proper mounting. I have been strapped out of the mud from my front hooks with no issue.

You have an awesome GF there but she had no way of knowing that.

So now if the 2 of you hang around this awesome forum you will have a lot of awesome knowledge and people who love jeeps and helping out others.

Thank you Dave, I'll see about returning these and tracking down oem hooks.
My jeep has a lot of miles, but I'd like to start doing a few things to it.

Got a keeper there if she bought you Jeep parts !
But like mentioned won't work
So now you know, if you want to do anything, ask first to see if possible on these KJs

I'll definitely start checking in here with questions.

What do you guys think about the Mopar tow hook Eye?
Price is better, but don't want a crappy part.

havent heard of it, do you have a link?

someone needs to start making KJ tow hook kits, could be cheaper than the Mopar set, and still make a ton off of all the guys on this forum.

i need to look into this, the bracket is relatively simple... maybe a DIY kit where you get the flat bracket and bend it yourself. or just a pattern to cut and fold it yourself out of flat plate...hmmm

*edit* found it, havent heard of it until now...

Never seen one in all the time I have been on the forums

Doesn't look that strong really
wonder if that is not more of a tie down or something?
Digging up more pictures

From the pictures very lightweight looking to me, I wouldn't want to hook onto it

That's kind of what I was thinking too, one of the shipping tie downs they use or something like that...

Thats what I am thinking it is, see lot of the same kind on them foreign cars shipped into the US. Maybe ok to pull you out of the yard if you have bald tires and 2 wheel drive BUT not stuck in the mud
