does anyone make these any more? is there any point to it? from what i found looks like the housing can still crack, but the collar keeps the case together for a short time....

what is the consensus? who was making these "back in the day"

No, they don't prevent diff breakages... ask me how I know. :disgust:
But it did hold the whole stinking mess together so I could get the KJ off the trail to be picked up by AAA. I think it would have been in pieces otherwise.

No, I run the JBA steel front diff now. It didn't fit that, so I ended up giving the collar to one of my other local KJ owners.
