I'm also running a backbone; have had it for a year now.

NO complaints. It's solid, mounts solid, and it's 1/4" plate steel reinforced in the right places. If you buy one, you won't be disappointed... especially at the price point. It's a nice alternative for anyone wanting a winch but not the extra weight/price of an ARB or other full bumper replacement.

winch

if i were going to permanently mount a winch on my jeep this would be my choice. problem is I don't want to be carrying around a winch 24/7.

I was wondering about Mounting it on a receiver hitch Plate, then you could move it to the front or back as needed?.Often your nose deep in 4x4 & cant access winch,i figure it would be nice to have a capable Rear Pull..But dont Off road alone?

Receivers for the front sit kinda low. Would greatly reduce your approach angle.

The Backbone is a great product, we've installed a couple here . Easy install , does what its suppose to do . If looking to keep the stock bumper, then works great

Love mine. Took about a month to get it and the directions were for a slightly different hardware kit, but install was easy and it works great. Worth the money!

I have the curt front hitch, its way too low. But I haven't had any problems winching from it yet, wish I had a backbone lmao
