Dome Light at Drive In

I took my 07 Liberty to the drive in movies the other day and ran into a problem with the dome light. I know it should go off if a door is left open after 8 minutes, but because I had the keys in the ignition to the ACC position to keep the radio on, the dome light wouldn't turn off. Any ideas to circumvent this?

Either turn the dim switch all the way to off or just pop the bulb (s) out for the night

Left side of the steering column, theres your turn signals. On it theres a switch that rotates to dim your dash lights, turn it all the way down. It will stay off no matter what until you turn them back on.
