Drive Train Issues

We have a 2005 Liberty with the Diesel engine. Mileage is just over 200,000 miles. Over the last year, we've had quite a few issues with the drive train. In the last year or so, we've had to replace both the front and rear drive lines, the transmission, and it still seems to have drive train problems. Does anyone know if this vehicle was designed to start coming apart at that mileage? Or are we just the lucky winner? And should we consider giving this rig a final burial and moving on.

Sounds like you have been unlucky or picked up a previous owners neglect / flood damage. They are tough old things riding on tried and tested parts.

It's probably cheaper to repair it and drive it.
