Got my 2007 Liberty eight years ago today. 42,250 miles at the time, just over 100,000 today.

I paid $14,998 for it, which means that thus far it has cost me $1,874.75 per year or about $156 per month. I'm hoping to get at least eight more years out of it which would halve those cost averages. (Shoot, I'm hoping to get another eight years out of myself. Yesterday was my 62nd birthday so I'll be a geezing septuagenarian should I make it.) Seeing as how I am driving it an average of 7,250 miles per year, another eight years at the current rate would put me at about 158,000 miles.

Happy Anniversary!

7250 a year ? I do that now in 16 weeks
I remember the good old days when I worked from home and had a State supplied car to drive ,
the 04 was saved for special trips back then

I once had a truck for about 6 years, and in that time I put just over 6000 miles on it, total! Not per year. And while I loved it dearly selling it to help put the Mrs through nursing school made more sense. Now I have a Sugar Momma! And we still have 5 vehicles between the 2 of us so not too bad.

My 2002 Export CRD I picked up new in May 2002 so it is now exactly 19 years old...only 192,354 Kms on it!

When I bought it I was doing major travel around the country fixing computers.
I planned to retire in 2005 at about 55 years old...which I did...and move to the Wildlife area near to the Kruger National Park.
So to save my Jeep from doing too much mileage I bought myself a second hand 1991 BMW 3 series...a E30 318i 4 cyl 8 valve motor....the USA E30 318i BMWs were similar but had 16 valves. So this little BMW did a major amount of travel before also retiring to my new house in the Bush alongside the Jeep!:)

And I have recently turned 70 so you youngsters better show me some respect!;)
