I have noticed the engine chirping, theres no knock when it's a cold start, after driving a bit up the road when I stop at a light you can hear some noise I don't want to say its a knock cause it's not consistent but it sounds like a little noise other then the chirping, on break I'll 're Ord a video and then upload it so you guys can hear it, I'm baffled?!?!

Pretty cold where you are? could be a belt loose and as it starts to go it tightens as it gets pulled a bit but isn't as tight as it should be so still makes an odd noise.. Power steering maybe or something.

I know on every older vehicle I've owned that always seemed to be the culprit. Not sure if that is still an issue that arises on newer ones too or not.

are the pulleys and supposed to have any play even if it's the slightest bit of movement?

i think very little pulley play while it is running, is fine. i would take the belt out for inspection. while that is out, try to free spin the pulleys. if they spin freely for awhile, the bearings are shot.also if you try to wobble it from side to side(looking down at the pulley and trying to wobble it CW and CCW) and there is significant play, bearings are shot too.

If they are shot then the pulleys will need replacement right

I'm gonna put a vote in for it being an alternator bearing.
Are there any prizes for hitting it on the nose? ;)

Ok found a groove on my power steering pulley that goes straight across, looks like a perfect slit, is this normal guy at AutoZone thinks it's a crack?

Ok crazy question if I take the belt off will all of the pulleys spend freely? Or no? Would that be a way to tell if any pulleys are going bad?

"Freely" is a matter of opinion. All should turn except for the crank pulley. I have no idea what your experience level is so not trying to sound like a smart ass but that's the big grooved one down on the bottom that's doing all the work. Water pump, power steering pump, AC compressor and alternator will spin easily and the tensioner and idler pulleys will spin freely. Think I got them all. Again, sort of a matter of opinion as to what you consider "freely". Does anyone out there agree or disagree?

Remember the AC compressor is not spinning. If not found elsewhere, pay attention whether or not you hear it with the AC on or off (make sure you are not in any of the defrost modes).

Mines making a squeaky chirpy sound also. I changes with the engine idle. I am pretty sure mine is the power steering pump. Have you checked the fluid in it? Sounded in the video like it was coming from your power steering pump bearings.

Guys at my Advanced Auto aren't too bad. But you can tell their experience is in their own vehicles and not many others.
