Hello im noticing my exhaust smells burnt and smokes after idleing for very long. Could this be due to a rusty muffler. Could there be a leak coming out ahead of the muffler. Any tips? . Thanks

Where does it smoke from, tailpipe, muffler, more near engine ?
Right side valve cover on these 3.7s will leak and drop oil down onto the exhaust
But are you still running stock exhaust ?
If so more than likely muffler is rusting out along the seams
Now if actual smoke is coming from tail pipe and its a fairly warm day, there are more serious issues possibly

I had a weird plastic smell in the cab today, but I know my seams are shot on the walker super quite muffler. Thinking of trying muffler putty on the seams as the muffler looks fairly new.
